1st Birthday Party

I cannot believe I am writing about William's first birthday party!!  We celebrated the weekend before his birthday as we will be in Philly for the Army vs Navy game next weekend.

William had a blast and I think the party was a success.  I have to say we were a little surprised that he didn't devour his cake, seeing as he likes food…lol!!  He did have some of it though!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with our little man!!

Decorations!!

11 Months

I know I know….I'm super late with this post, especially considering William will be ONE next week!!  Things have been busy busy busy!!

Nonetheless…..your 11 month update!!

Height/Weight - I'm guessing 25 pounds still but I think he is a little bit taller as some of his 12 month clothes are too short!

Eating - About 4 bottles a day (6 oz each).  He doesn't always finish his bottles and I don't push it because he is eating 3 meals a day and a snack here and there.

Breakfast - Still enjoying oatmeal with pureed fruit, blueberries, raspberries, banana, pear, cheerios, cantaloupe and yogurt (peach is his favorite) and his favorite waffles or pancakes.
Lunch - still a stage 2 pouch (easier for daycare) with some sort of finger food (cheese, noodles, peas, etc.)
Snack - some things he likes are: water, puffs, cheerios, yogurt melts, arrowroot cookies, apple sauce, goldfish (the baby kind)
Dinner -  He likes: noodles, cheese, AVOCADO, chicken, spinach, black beans, peas, carrots, bread, sweet potato fries that I make.  I'm starting to offer him our food if it isn't too spicy and he seems to enjoy everything!  He hates green beans...spits them out!

Sleep - It's going!!  He is still taking two naps a day (one in the AM and one in the afternoon). He goes to be between 7:30 - 8:00 and has been waking up anywhere from 5:00 - 6:30 a.m. (getting a little better).

Play - He loves to play!!!  He will play with just about anything....legos, boxes, cups, measuring spoons, his socks, anything that makes noise or allows him to dance.  He loves to pick up his toys and walk around the house holding them, swinging them and talking is his cute own little language!

Like -  walking...it is official we are walking everywhere!! he walks around the kitchen the family room...everywhere!  He loves to pick up toys and walk around with them.  He loves the bathroom and thinks the toilet paper is amazing when it comes off the roll!!  He likes to help mommy cook by banging measuring cups and spoons.  He tries to spin the knobs on the stove (we have covers and a stove lock) and he thinks its funny to start the dishwasher (still cannot find something to stop that!)

Dislikes - green beans, sitting, the car seat is still hit or miss and his stroller!

Now for some pictures!!!  They aren't the best as he is always on he go!!

I love carrying my bottle around once I'm done!
Notice the only way we got the sticker in the picture was to put it on the floor!

 Whatcha Looking At?
Aha I got it off the carpet!

This is what happens when I feed myself!
Mommy…..always giving me kisses!

 Loving my new haircut!

 Carrying mommy's purse!!

Weekend Fun

This was the first weekend we didn't have any real plans...we played, ran errands, went on walks, cuddled, William had his first kids meal at Chick-fil-A, we drove by houses for sale closer to my work and TJ's work (we are just looking as we have to finish the basement and find renters!!) and just hung out as a family!

TJ ran the MCM 10K yesterday and we decided to stay home since it was so cold and it is crazy busy trying to meet up!  We are very proud o him though!!

The biggest news of the weekend....WE ARE WALKING...seriously.....it is going too fast!!

Here are some pictures and a Video of William walking!!

 Silly Daddy!

Lego's are only fun if we dump them all out!

 William's Self Portrait!
He is pushing everything!!

10 Months!!!

Height/Weight - almost 25 lbs at his sick appointment last week.  Not sure on length but he is starting to fit into some things that were a little long before!!

Eating - About 4 bottles a day (6 oz each).  He dropped a bottle on his own and sometimes does half a bottle then an hour later the other half!!
Breakfast - so far we like: oatmeal with pureed fruit, blueberries, raspberries, banana, pear, waffles, cheerios, cantaloupe and we finally like yogurt (has to be the yo baby blueberry, peach or vanilla though)

Lunch - still a stage 2 pouch (easier for daycare) with some sort of finger food (fruit, puffs, cheerios, yogurt melts).

Snack - water, puffs, cheerios, yogurt melts, arrowroot cookies, apples

Dinner - we are trying more finger foods but still have one puree (usually sweet potatoes or a green mix).  He likes: noodles, cheese, AVOCADO, chicken and spinach.  This week we are trying green beans, carrots, and black beans.

He still loves to eat...loves it and uses two hands...especially if he can feed himself!!

Sleep - We are getting there!!  Naps are pretty good...one in the morning (1 - 1.5 hours), one in the afternoon (1 - 1.5 hours) and sometimes a cat nap (30 or so minutes) in the car or before dinner.  He goes to be between 7:30 - 8:00 and has been waking up anywhere from 5:00 - 6:30 a.m. (getting a little better).   It is what it is and we are thankful for a happy, healthy baby who does sleep :)

Play - He loves to play....with other kiddos, with adults and by himself...he is quite the entertainer.  He loves his legos and his tool chest.  Still gravitates towards any toy that make noise and anything that he can stand up with, push (it is amazing how a little basket can be used as a push toy), and sit on.  He loves to take things out of boxes (tissues, wipes, Mommy's panty liners (LOL)).  He loves to take his socks off and swings them around like they are a prize!! He is cruising around tables, chairs, cabinet (he is like spiderman) and the couch!  He loves to super crawl towards the stairs and will crawl all the way up the stairs if we let him!  Still loves Mickey and Sully from Monsters Inc (it is his favorite book).

Like -  dancing (he will move and groove to just about any music), standing, walking with toys, banging toys, shaking toys to make noise, walks when daddy puts him on his shoulders, singing and talking as he eats, playing with the remote, throwing balls back and forth, walking up stairs, looking out the window, playing with the air conditioner grates, playing with bowls and spoons in the kitchen, throwing things off his high chair,  skyping with family and friends, pulling himself up on our legs, sitting on the deck/porch, looking out the windows, loves peek-a-boo, loves splashing during bath time, eating, snuggling and exploring every nook and cranny he can wiggle himself into!  He still likes walks at night (either in his stroller, bike or daddy's shoulders).

Dislikes - having his nails clipped, having his face washed, being changed (as my daycare lady put it: it's like wrestling and alligator to change his diaper...she was laughing!!), having a runny nose, ear aches (he had his first ear infections (one in each ear) last week.   Basically anything that requires him to stay still!!

Still loving being parents and having this little ball of energy make us smile several times a day!!  It's a tough job but his smile makes the tough times disappear!

Now for some pictures!!!

We started the day off at my school's first ever 5k :)  Despite the rain, William did a great job!!

Dinner at Outback...he was such a flirt and loved playing with the straws!!

Seriously Mom....another picture??

 It's too early to smile...
 Just kidding!!
Hey where did this come from??
 A sticker!!
 Sticky!!

A trip to home depot....William was a great driver!!

Walk like a dinosaur

I attempted to post this last week but it didn't work....here's to hoping it works this week!

This is about two weeks old now but still fun to watch!  William loves to cruise from toy to toy and push anything that will allow him to move and walk!  Just today he stood by himself for a good 10 seconds!

We are so proud of him!!

9 Months

Height/Weight - 23 lbs. 3 oz and 29.75 inches long!  Dropped to the 80th percentile for weight but staying at the 90th for height!

Eating - About 5 bottles a day (6 oz each).  We are up to three meals a day.
Breakfast - oatmeal with pureed fruit, blueberries, raspberries, banana, and we kinda like yogurt (its growing on him).
Lunch - usually a stage 2 or 3 baby food pouch and some puffs
Dinner - a green pureed veggie and an orange pureed veggie, noodles, avocado (can't get enough of it), we started cheese this week, he has tried chicken and likes pizza crust.  We are going to start introducing more meat and some beans.

He loves to eat...loves it...especially if he can feed himself!!

Sleep - It has been a rough few weeks!!  Naps are still pretty good...one in the morning (1 - 1.5 hours), one in the afternoon (1 - 1.5 hours) and sometimes a cat nap (30 or so minutes) in the car or before dinner.  He goes to be between 7:30 - 8:00 and has been waking up anywhere from 3:30 (YIKES) to 6:00 a.m.   He doesn't make it much later than 6 a.m., even cuddling with me.   Right now, I cannot bring him into bed with me because he completely wakes up...thank goodness for our fully reclining rocking chair in his room!!  He has had a few rough nights where he wakes up around 11 pm and cannot seem to put himself back to sleep.  The only positive to the 3:30 - 5:00 wake ups (see I'm trying to focus on the positive) is that he will cuddle and lay on me until it is time to wake up at 6 am.  The downside is Mommy is very tired and has to get ready for work with a cute inquisitive baby crawling around her (which is pretty cute but takes twice as long!!)

Play - He still loves anything with music and any toy that he can hold onto and stand up.  He is quite the dancer and likes to move and grove when his toys make noise.  He is really into shaking things, banging things together, taking all the tissues out of the box, taking the diaper out of the holder, and any toy that allows him to practice walking.  He is still pulling up on EVERYTHING and loves to be in the bathroom!  He is a super fast crawler and loves chasing balls on the floor.  He is starting to kinda get the idea of rolling a ball back and forth.  And us saying "Uh oh" and "No...ouchie" seem to make him laugh!!

Like -  dancing, crawling, walking with toys, banging toys, shaking toys to make noise, walks when daddy puts him on his shoulders, LOVED apple picking and eating apples, throwing things off his high chair, singing, playing with remotes, skyping with family and friends, pulling himself up on our legs, sitting on the deck/porch, looking out the windows, still a fan of the air conditioning grates, loves peek-a-boo, loves splashing during bath time, eating, snuggling and exploring every nook and cranny he can wiggle himself into!

Dislikes - having his face washed, being changed (he rolls around, wiggles and does everything to not sit still for a diaper change or clothes change), having a runny nose, green beans, and being still.

Still very happy and healthy and the happiness in our days!!

Did you really think you would get a picture with the sticker on Mom??
 I want it!!
 This feels cool!
 It does NOT taste good!
 Sticky Fun
Maybe it gets better with each taste?

Look Mommy....I'm a big helper!!

I'm trying....Really......

I'm really trying to update the blog more often but seem to fail every chance I get :(  Between work and wanting to spend as much time as I can with William, I find that the blog has been put on the back burner!  I will try to get better...honest!!   All is well in our happy yet busy home!  The first week of school with kiddos was great but super tiring!!

For now, here are two recent videos of William!  The first one is of his cute giggles and the second one is him speed crawling....his only speed of crawling!!  He keeps us on our toes but we love every second of chasing him!  He is trying to stand on his own and has been successful for a few seconds every now and then!!!
