8 Months

William celebrated 8 months old yesterday.....where has the time gone??  He is busy crawling all over the place and has started to pull himself up on just about everything he can!!

Height/Weight - Guessing about 24 pounds and at least 29 inches long.

Eating - 5-6 oz of Formula about every 3-4 hours.  We are up to three meals a day.  Typically breakfast is some oatmeal cereal and a pureed fruit mix.
Lunch continues to be little usually half a pouch of stage 2 baby food (loves spinach, peas and pears or anything with sweet potatoes).  If we are out and about, he usually likes puffs or a teething biscuit.
Dinner is usually an veggie or two (something green and something orange (still pureed) and some type of finger food.  He likes noodles, avocado and sweet potatoes as finger foods.  We have given him some shredded chicken and he didn't hate it!!  We are now eating Cheerios and we had pancakes for the first time last week and they were a hit!!

Sleep - I hate to write anything on here but lets just say that his sleep is still pretty good (some days great, some days not so great but overall pretty good).  For the most part he sleeps from 7:30-8:00 p.m. to 4:30 - 6:00 a.m.  The 4:30 mornings are a little tough though!!  Still taking about 3 naps a day - a morning nap for 1-2 hours, early afternoon for 1-1.5 hours and sometimes a catnap before dinner for 30 min- 1 hour.  Although for the past two days at daycare he has taken two long naps.

Play - We have a musical boy on our hands...loves anything that sings or makes noise.  He loves to chase after toys.  He enjoys trying to grab a ball and then following it as he misses it!  Loves trucks and legos and anything that will allow him to stand and play.  He tries to pull himself up on everything!!  He loves to go after cords, rugs and recently found the air conditioning vents :)  He has become a fan of his bouncy seat (helps Mommy get dinner done too!)  He LOVES to take my glasses off and have me put them back on.  Did I mention that he loves my cell phone as well....I couldn't hear people very well for a few days because of the drool he left in it :)  He crawls all over the place putting everything into his mouth!  His new thing is to point at everything with his pointer finger....it's pretty cute.  He has started to wave but I don't think he makes the connection that it means hello or goodbye even though TJ and I say "Hello" every single time we see him wave!

Like -  Mickey Mouse, taking walks in his Bob stroller, playing on the floor, crawling around, skyping with people, pulling himself into a standing position on anything that will let him!   He still loves to chew on things, especially cold things, loves his baths and swimming around, reading books, splashing water everywhere in his bath, reading books in his bath, sitting outside waiting for daddy to get home from work, eating, bouncing, flirting with the ladies, playing with his buddies at daycare and giving smiles, pointing at things, shaking things, slowing picking up food and dancing!!

Dislikes - green beans, being tired but not going to sleep, not being able to get something, having his face washed, being changed (rolls around).  Overall a pretty happy baby!!

Now the fun part....pictures!
 Do you see me standing!!
See, even I'm surprised I can stand by myself!
Daddy was listening to Natalie Merchant and I knew Mommy didn't like it so I covered her ears!
Mommy and Daddy thought it looked like I was on the potty :(
See Mommy laughing in the background!

Being up at 5 am is GREAT...see!!
The pancakes made it into my mouth...success!
Please give me a little more??
I'm gonna hold on really tight just in case I fall out...safety first!
 I might like this???
What is this and why does it bounce?
Mommy can I just play on the ground??
 Standing fool!
 This looks fun!
Did you really expect me to wear the sticker??
It doesn't taste very good :(
 Sticky but fun...
 Yummy then Yucky!
 Look mom I can read!
Now my turn to hold the phone...here I come!
Oh Daddy you are too silly!
 No seriously.....
 You crack me up!
 My daddy is hilarious!

Missing You......

We miss you so much Leo....the house feels empty, we feel lost and we cannot do anything without thinking about how you were always involved in every aspect of our lives from eating meals to going to bed.  We hope you are enjoying the never ending treats, endless lakes to swim in and playing with all your friends in doggie heaven.  We love you!

7 Months

William celebrated his 7 month birthday on the 12th at Dulles Airport as we prepared to visit Brae and Brumps in Washington State :)  More on the trip coming up in the next post but lets just say that William did an AMAZING job for his first flight :)

Height/Weight - Guessing about 22 pounds and at least 29 inches long.
Eating - 5-6 oz of Formula about every 3-4 hours.  We are up to three meals a day.  Typically breakfast is some oatmeal cereal and a fruit (loves prunes, pears, mango, blueberries, peaches and banana's - although the only fruit he likes to eat (not pureed) is banana's and blueberries and he sometimes tolerates mango's.  Lunch is little as we are just starting to introduce and is usually leftover breakfast mixes (he really like the spinach/pear/pea and sweet potato/carrot/banana pouches.  Dinner is usually an orange veggie (his favorites - sweet potatoes, carrots, butternut squash) and a green veggie (green beans, peas, spinach - likes some days doesn't others) and some type of finger food.  We introduced noodles last night to help with him feeding himself and not always having fruit at dinner and he loves them.  We are going to try the meatball recipe that Ms. Ashley gave us tonight.
Sleep - I hate to write anything on here but lets just say that his sleep is pretty good.  For the most part he sleeps from 7:30-8:00 p.m. to 4:30 - 6:00 a.m.  We were a little screwed up with time in Washington state and are adjusting back but anymore than 6 hours makes for a happy momma most of the time.  He takes about 3 naps a day a morning nap for 1-2 hours, early afternoon for 1-1.5 hours and sometimes a catnap before dinner for 30 min- 1 hour.
Play - Will still loves anything that makes noise or sings.  He loves to reach for toys and laugh.  Loves trucks and legos and anything that will allow him to stand and play.  He loves to sit on the kitchen floor and play with the measuring spoons.  He has started to play peek-a-boo with blankets.  His favorite still remains anything he can bang that makes noise.  He LOVES to take my glasses off and have me put them back on.  Did I mention that he loves my cell phone as well....I couldn't hear people very well for a few days because of the drool he left in it :)  We now have TWO teeth....I cannot believe it so anything that can go in our mouth and can be chewed on is a big hit :)

Like -  Mickey Mouse, taking walks in his Bob stroller, playing on the floor, going from sitting to laying and rocking his body forward to get what he wants.  While he isn't crawling yet because he can't seem to figure out to move his hands, he is able to get around by scooting on his belly and using his legs to push himself forward....kinda like a modified army crawl.  He still loves to chew on things, especially cold things, loves his baths and swimming around, reading books, playing with/petting/grabbing leo, sitting outside watching daddy do yard work, eating, bouncing, playing with singing toys, loves skyping with people, loves to flirt with the ladies, rolling around, hitting boxes, eating puffs and teething biscuits and naps on Mommy and he loves when mommy holds him!

Dislikes - laying on his back when he wants to sit, being tired but not going to sleep, hasn't been a big fan of his changing pad on top of his dresser lately, when he is tired and cannot reach something.

He really is amazing and changes so much each day!  We just love him to pieces!!

Look at all that hair!!
Waiting to go through security at Dulles

 Finally in Washington State...sleepy face!
On the ferry to see Brae and Brumps....super sleepy face!

And we are sitting and trying to stand.....

Still working on the crawling as we like to surf and kick our feet in the air instead but we are getting there :)  So proud of our little man!

Again, sorry for the delay in posts but I've been busy spending as much time as I can with our little guy and am trying to see as many friends as possible before we leave for our Washington trip :)

The official 6 month stats a few weeks ago at the doctor:
20 lbs 4 oz
28 inches long
90th percentile all around so he is doing great!!  Happy and healthy baby boy!

We are starting to pick up food and put it in our mouth...although it takes awhile and we just grab everything and hope it makes it :)

Until next time, here are some picture updates :)
 Hello Ladies :)
 Sitting tall :)

 Standing all by myself :)
 Look at those legs!
 Chillin w/Daddy at Outback!!

6 Months

William celebrated his 6 month birthday on Wednesday :)  We celebrated with Brae before she left to go back home to Washington State!  We enjoyed having Brae for three months and miss her terribly but will get to see her in just a few weeks when we make the trip to see her, Brumps, Steph, Erik and Zack.  Now for a 6 month update!
Height/Weight - We are guessing he weighs about 20 pounds and is at least 27 inches long :)  He has his official 6 month appointment on Thursday.

Eating - about 5 oz every three hours.  William loves prunes (go figure) and usually has prunes or banana's and a little bit of oatmeal cereal for breakfast and for dinner his favorites are sweet potatoes, carrots and butternut squash with a little bit of prunes or banana's from breakfast.  William loves water and likes to drink out of his sippy cup and loves to play with Mommy's big cup but gets confused when water comes out of my cup :)

Sleep - It's going....it isn't horrible and it isn't great.  I fear that the pediatrician is going to encourage me to let him cry it out in order to drop his one early morning feeding.  He has started waking up in the middle of the night and typically needs mommy to rock him for a little bit and when he wake up between 3-5 am to eat he thinks it is playtime and usually struggles to go back to sleep because he would rather roll around, bring his feet up and bang them down, bang his hands, talk to himself and just have a good old time.  I'm really trying hard to let him work it out and put himself back to sleep.

Play - Will still loves anything that makes noise or sings.  He loves to sit up and reach for his toys.  He LOVES Mickey Mouse, his Roar toy, his piano that he can stand at and his sensory balls.  William loves to put things in his mouth and will move objects from one hand to the other hand.  William likes to play and sing in his pack and play while mommy cleans and folds laundry.

Like -  Mickey Mouse, taking walks in his Bob stroller, playing on the floor and reaching for his balls.  He is getting really good at sitting up, loves to chew on things, especially cold things, loves his baths and swimming around, reading books, playing with/petting/grabbing leo, sitting outside watching daddy do yard work, eating, bouncing, playing with singing toys, loves skyping with people, loves to flirt with the ladies, pulling off glasses, rolling around, hitting boxes, eating and naps on Mommy.

Dislikes - laying on his back when he wants to sit, getting frustrated because he can't crawl yet but is starting to figure it out, Peas (the face was pretty priceless), being tired, when people talk him through the monitor

William took the next three pictures :)
