Baby William Profile

Such a wonderful week cause Brae (my mom is here :))!!  I was able to take off on Thursday and Friday to spend some time with her.  We did lots of shopping, meet TJ for lunch and got to see where he works, and spend lots of time talking!!  She was able to come with me to my doctors appointment yesterday.

Because I have gestational diabetes, I got to have biophysical profile (ultrasound where they make sure William is happy and does 8 things).  So needless to say I didn't sleep the night before because I was so nervous that he had to take a test!!

My mom went with me to the ultrasound this morning and I'm happy to say that William passed with a perfect score (8/8).  We got a good profile picture so I thought I'd share!!

I'm super excited for my baby shower tomorrow...cannot wait to see friends and family and celebrate William :)

Thankful on Thursday (a day late)

Sorry for the delay as I have been exhausted lately!!

As always in no particular order, I am thankful for:

1) My mom (my best friend) is coming tomorrow night!!!  We cannot wait to spend some time with her :)

2)  We hung up Williams name in the nursery.  Cannot wait until he is old enough to use his room!

3)  Kelly and Joanne for the "shut the front door" and "what the french toast" emails!!

4)  Shannon and Sarah for all their "mommy" knowledge.  William is one lucky little boy cause he is going to have all the highly recommended stuff!!

5) My hubby for putting up with my mood swings and exhaustion.

6)  Leo for keeping me walking during the week.  It's hard to say no to him when he loves strutting his stuff around the block!

7) Lots of movement from William....makes mommy happy!

8) Sleep.....I cannot wait to sleep in tomorrow!!

9)  My baby shower next Saturday....sometimes it still seems so surreal :)

Until next time.....happy blogging :)

Finally Friday

TGIF.......times 1000!!!  It is not fun to spend a week at 30 weeks pregnant without your hubby :(  Talk about exhausting!!!  Leo did a great job of taking care of mommy and Will while Daddy was away!

I know this is a day late, but here is my Thankful on Thursday!

1) 30 weeks pregnant and still feeling pretty good :)  The only downside of this week is that I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes :(  I failed my one hour glucose by 2 points and then I failed my 3 hour (I only failed my fasting by 5 points, the rest were within the normal range).  I have to attend a class on Monday and will need to check my blood sugar four times a day and go on a low carb diet.  I'm done crying about it and will make all the changes necessary to make sure Will continues to be happy and healthy!

2)  Lots of movement from William this week and according to the doctor he is currently head down :)

3) Getting to meet a beautiful baby girl last week and see her this weekend :)  She is so cute and her mommy looks great!!

4) Leo for doing such a great job keeping me walking every night and for making me laugh and cuddling all week!!

5) Friday....this has been an exhausting week at work...mainly because of difficult parents demanding all of my time when all I want to do is spend time with the students :(

6) Getting some gifts for William :)

7) My mom is coming in less than a week....I cannot wait!!

8) Getting to catch up with Allison this week....so good to hear from her :)

9)  10ish more weeks until we get to meet William :)

28 weeks

So this post is a few days old since I'll be 29 weeks on Thursday, but nonetheless..here are my 28 week facts:

Total weight gain/loss: About 10-11 pounds so far....I only gained 2.5 lbs in 5 weeks but an additional two the last two weeks.

Sleep: Pretty good except for several trips to the bathroom each night.  I fall asleep pretty quickly afterwards, except for when William decides to have a party in my belly....I'm so excited I stay awake to join the party :)

Best moment this week: Feeling the outline of his foot....I put my hand on my belly because I felt lots of pressure and swear I felt the outline of his foot but I screamed with excitement and he moved away.  I'm pretty sure that had I not gotten so excited and looked I might have seen his foot :)

Movement: Several times a day, especially at night when I wake up to use the bathroom, in the morning and at night.  TJ is able to feel him on a nightly basis now and sometimes he kicks so hard he moves our hands!

Food cravings:  Cold Water with Ice and brownies and grapes.

Gender: It's a BOY!!

Labor Signs: None and lets keep it that way for at least 8 more weeks!

Size of baby: Eggplant

What I miss: Hoagie

What I am looking forward to: Meeting him in less than 12 weeks...it makes me cry and so happy to think how far we have come :)

Milestones:  Lots of movement!!!
